Oh, it's so horrible, but here goes: I think cooking is a necessary EVIL!
I just hate it, that I have to embrace it.
I'm sick of wasting money and eating out, I'm sick of cooking halfway unhealthy food.
You see I have a very dysfunctional relationship with cooking: either I go for it or ignore it, depending on my mood.
But after spending one month in California, and hanging out with my domestic diva friend, I was inspired! (Then again, the inspiration is very short-lived) so I'm going to blog a laundry list of food I'm cooking up here in Japan.
There is something you should really know: I don't have a lot of the great ingredients one would find in the States, like Trader Joe's, or Whole Foods. We have limited Korean food selection, but with that said, I can find about 50 different types of soy sauce, tofu, and fish over here, so there are some perks. However, I will keep most of my ingredients uncomplicated in case you live in a small town, and don't even have a asian grocers near a 30 miles radius, ( I hear you! because that's been my problem from living in small towns as a military family!) Lastly, I'll share my recipes if you promise not to laugh at my Japanese ugly kitchen!
